Ghostwood is a small literal ghost town past the mountains near the northwest of the map. It contains 5 buildings.

The ghosts that reside in Ghostwood are obsessed with registrations and permits, much to the annoyance of the player. The only reason to finish said registration is to obtain Ghost beer or Ghost whiskey.

As soon as you enter the town you will be directed to the town hall. Screw what they call it. They're annoying. You will then be told to obtain a pencil from the general store in order to fill out the form. When of course you can't they give you a temporary permit. Don't try to use it.

Even if the player were to destroy their entire keyboard they wouldn't be able to finish the second form in the eleven seconds it takes. Instead the player must find the pencil that is stabbed into the cactus to the right. And sharpen it at the saloon. Curious thing is, the player can name themselves whatever they want for the first few times. But once the name is on the temporary permit, you must stick to it or often times the characters dialogues will complain and whine that the name doesn't match what's on your first permit. After the player has finished going through that nightmare, your protagonist will then state that they don't know what they want to do in the buildings of Ghostwood In fact the majority of them are particularly useless.

Except the saloon. The saloon is where you may obtain the Ghost beer/whiskey. You can buy the beer immediately but the whiskey is delivered two days later.
